Sandro Botticelli, 1445-1510, was an Italian painter of the Early Renaissance. In the Early Renaissance, one of the heroes in art was Italian painter Sandro Botticelli. The biggest Botticelli works were Primavera Botticelli
and The Birth of Venus
. Botticelli spent valuable time in the Florentine School under the watchful eye of Lorenzo de Medici. It didn’t take long for him to get his own workshop, where he proved that his style was one of a kind, even among other elite artists. A little known fact about Botticelli is that he was on the committee that decided where David would be placed, which of course was one of Michelangelo’s greatest paintings of his career.
