Raphael, 1483-1520, was an Italian painter of the High Renaissance working for two Popes in Rome. Raphael was an incredible Italian painter that was the creator of the High Renaissance. The visual clarity in Raphael paintings is a specific style that is hard to miss, and he is often grouped with Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci as the best of the current time period. He was also another brilliant painter that died young, and left the art world at only 37 years old.
