Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes, 1746-1828, was a Spanish romantic painter both as the last of the Old Masters and the first of the moderns. Goya is a well-known Spanish romantic painter and printmaker that grew into prominence in the 18th and 19th century. He influenced many artists of the era and was also provided a lot of commentary for the art world when he was at the peak of fame. Born in 1746, Goya created paintings of Still Life with Golden Bream, Sacrifice to Pan, Portrait of Josefa Bayeu and The Parasol. In his early years he studied under Jose Luzan, and later on became the student of Anton Raphael Mengs. The last completed Goya works was done at the age of 75 and is proudly displayed in Museo del Prado, Madrid.
